Pathria's book covers all the essential material related to equilibrium statistical mechanics. The material is covered in depth but, much of the learning must be done by working the numerous problems found at the end of each chapter. This book is great for anyone who wants to learn the tools of statistical mechanics. The book is concise but gives adequate explanation.
